The Vinson Fund
The Vinson Fund plans, promotes and develops events to enhance the cultural enrichment of the citizens of the City of Colville and the Colville region. Robert Vinson made a generous bequest to the City of Colville to establish the Fund.
Robert Vinson graduated from Colville High School in 1939 and University of Washington in 1943. He served with the US Army in World War II. Following the war he worked as a radio director from 1946 - 1954. Mr. Vinson was a TV Executive with the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service 1957. He was responsible for all TV Programs for troops and dependents overseas and aboard ships. Mr. Vinson retired from government service in 1981.
